On Saturday we were still at Treasure Island in Red Wing. The Prairie Island Indian Community was having their Wacipi Celebration or Pow Wow. The costumes are amazing especially the intricate beadwork. Toni says these Indians could never sneak up on a cowboy or buffalo because you can hear the jingling for blocks. It is neat to see the young people keeping their culture alive. The little kids were very cute in their costumes. It was interesting to see the different dances and ages involved.
