We visited the historic village of Mesilla, New Mexico. Billy The Kid stood trial in the town's courthouse on the village plaza. The building which dates from 1850 once housed the Capitol of Arizona and New Mexico. Later it was the Courthouse in which Billy The Kid was tried and sentenced to hang. After he was convicted he escaped en route to face his sentence.Friday, July 4, 2008
