EISENHOWER PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

The Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, KS, consists of several buildings. It's unusual to have retained so many original furnishings in the family home, but his parents lived there until they died, and he was already a famous General, so they kept everything. A chapel surrounds the graves of Ike, Mamie and their young son. They currently have an exhibit about the educational history of the presidents, called, "From George to George". There were many interesting displays, including a piece of their wedding cake.
