SACRAMENTO, CA

We spent several days in Sacramento and used it as a hub for some sightseeing and some family research. I have ancestors that lived in the area so we visited their neighborhoods and cemeteries and libraries along with the State Historical and Genealogy libraries in Sacramento and Oakland. On the way to Sacramento, there were a few spots along the highway that had been seeded. They surely can't afford to do that now. (Along with that subject-if you travel in the future, pay attention to your bathroom needs-it's hard to find an open rest stop. I could rub it in and say we take our bathroom with us-but then that would be beneath me!) I seem to have digressed again-here's a pretty roadside view.

When we were downtown, we drove by the Governor's mansion. I don't think Arnold's family ever moved from Hollywood, but it's a beautiful house.
The day we were near the Caopitol, I didn't have my camera, but the downtown area is very nice.
