BROOKINGS-AZALEA PARK

Yesterday it was pouring again, and we decided to wait another day, not knowing for sure if we have to go up any snowy mountains. We did laundry in the morning and I got some blogging done. Around noon, the sun appeared, so we took a ride up to Brookings, OR. They had an azalea park with many pretty flowers.
There were calla lilies, azaleas and rhododendrons, etc.

I don't know the name of this bush, but they were all over CA, and they start with the white flowers and green leaves and then turn red.
This is what the flower clumps look like-they remind me of lilies of the valley. Thinking of lillies-around Brookings, they grow 95% of our Easter lilies.
Another mystery flower.
(If anyone has an answer, remember you can sign your name to your comment in the text of the comment, that way we know who it is from- even if you use the anonymous feature, if you don't have a g-mail account. We had a lovely comment from Decorah recently, but don't know who it's from. Thank you, anonymous!)

It is a red hot poker. I have a small one in my patch but this one looks so much better.
