CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK

Our friends, Bonnie and Larry Ghrist wanted to take us to one of their favorite places, Crater Lake. They drove us to the rim of the mountain where you can see thelake which was caused by the eruption of the volcano several thousand years ago. We're almost there.

To see the lake, you walk up the small hill to look over the edge.

What incredible beauty!

The lake is the deepest in the nation at 1,943 feet. It's fed by rain and snow (but no rivers or streams), the lake is considered to be the cleanest large body of water in the world.

Bonnie and Larry.
I'm sure you've noticed the snow-the average snowfall is 45 feet. We ate in this building-a bowl of soup really warmed the innards since it was 32 degrees up there.
This place was awesome-another place for your bucket lists!
