CAPE COD-HYANNIS PORT

After Plymoth, we drove out on Cape Cod and spent most of our limited time in the Hyannis Port area. The shops downtown are neat and there's a museum about the time JFK spent at the compound. There's a nice statue in front of the museum.

A quick call to Pat Cushing who's a native of West Hyannis, gave us a tip on a good seafood restaurant. She was right-Cooke's was excellent!

Of course, we had to look for the Kennedy compound. There are several houses within a grey fence, right on the water. One of the gates was open and we watched a tourist park her car, get out, and go in the driveway to try and get a picture. We pulled ahead, and we heard honking as one of the clan was trying to get by her in the driveway. I don't imagine they were very happy with her. I doubt she got a better picture than I did from the car.
