ARIZONA SKYDIVERS
We then drove down to Eloy to watch the Arizona skydivers at their school. You can watch them get dressed, do their jumps and then get their parachutes all packed away. You watch the planes take off, climb to the proper altitude and then suddenly all these people drop down from the sky. Some of them come in with gusto and others just kind of float on down. As you sit there watching, you swear they're going to land on you. The amazing thing is how smoothly they land, all but a couple on their feet. Kathy decided she might like to do it, but not with anyone watching. Apparently it costs $70 a jump, more for students, and many did it more than once. The students did tandem jumps and seemed to do well. It was an interesting experience!

We spent last Sat. in Eloy watching the skydivers. It is beyond me why anyone would jump out of a plane that is running perfectly. Jerry wishes that he was younger, weighed less, and didn't have a questionable heart so that he could try the tandem jump. He also thought it would be cool to try the inside wind tunnel (but they don't recommend it if you have any shoulder issues) lucky for me since he didn't think the doctor would think it would be a good idea to risk injuring his shoulder that he had totally replaced a few years ag--he had to pass on that experience also. It made for a very cheap day since it doesn't cost anything to watch. Kathy
