FIFTH PLACE

Big Red won again and ended up 5th out of 18 in their division. Dan played and only had one penalty. Jake had one too and that has to be some kind of record for the Mulert boys, as they usually are pretty aggressive.

Jake played a lot and did all the faceoffs with a 23 win 8 losses. He fought hard and so did the team. Congratulations to all of them! In this picture the ball by Jake's foot was picked up by his team.

They took pictures of the team and added the parents.

Thanks to Russ and Carrie and kids for letting us join in their fun!!!

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY

We ended the day with cake and ice cream for Joe.
Nothing makes a guy happier than chocolate!

EDWARDS, CO

After lunch Don and I went to the Riverwalk in Edwards. The street is full of shops.

The river runs behind.

I went in this store and bought a kitchen towel.

While I was in the kitchen store, Don watched a man wash windows.

I guess it didn't give him a thrill, because this is how he looked when I came out of the store.

A lady came out of the store behind him and commented on how much fun he was having. What can I say?

EVERYBODY SMILE

It's been a long time since we could get everybody together for a picture, so they humored me!

THE DUSTY BOOT

We finally found a place to have lunch in Beaver Creek at The Dusty Boot.

Some of the kids built their own burgers.

It was a neat place.

You don't want to know what it cost us-after all we had a birthday and a win to celebrate!

BEAVER CREEK SKI RESORT

After the game we went up to the Beaver Creek Ski Resort in Avon. We walked around the square where they have an ice rink covered.

We went in a few shops while we were looking for a restaurant.

Joe found a friend.

More beautiful flowers.

Beaver Creek.

Such a pretty place-notice the ski runs behind the buildings.

As you go back down the mountain, there are huge houses along a golf course.

YEA,WE WON!

They finally came together and won. We felt bad for Dan because he didn't get to play today, but Jake did well. He's #2 in red. He did most of the faceoffs. That's when you fight to get the ball to your team, similar to a jumpball in basketball, but you're on the ground, and more brutal.

The crowd was happy and when they heard it was Joe's birthday, they sang to him. Do you think he liked it?
